DEP Issues Chapter 105 Permit For 8 Mile, 24-Inch EQT ARO LLC Water Pipeline To Support Shale Gas Development In State Forest Land In Lycoming County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the June 6 PA Bulletin announcing it has approved a Chapter 105 permit for an 8 mile long, 24-inch EQT ARO LLC water pipeline to support shale gas development in State Forest Land in Cascade and McNett Townships, Lycoming County. (

The project will consist of the construction of 43,135 linear feet of 24-inch HDPE temporary aboveground waterline from the RBP AST Pad to the Salt Run Extension Pad A, and 3,325 linear feet to the RBP Pad A.

The permit authorizes EQT to construct, operate and maintain forty-three (43) temporary stream crossings and twenty-four (24) temporary wetland crossings in Cascade and McNett Township, Lycoming County.

Individuals aggrieved by this decision have 30 days from this notice to file an appeal with the Environmental Hearing Board.
