Keep PA Beautiful: Learn More About Rural Municipal Waste Transfer Facilities

What do community centers, libraries, nature parks, playgrounds, and Rural Transfer Facilities have in common? They are all considered public assets, improving the quality of life for residents.

In small, rural communities Rural Transfer Facilities provide residents with ways to properly dispose of their household trash and recycling ensuring local communities remain clean and beautiful.

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful is promoting the development of Rural Transfer Facilities in communities with less than 300 people per square mile, where trash collection and recycling services are not convenient and affordable.
