PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices/Opportunities To Comment

The following DEP notices were published in the
December 24 PA Bulletin related to oil and gas industry facilities.  Many of the notices offer the opportunity for public comments.

Land Recycling/Brownfield Cleanups

-- Coterra Energy, Inc. - K. Benedikt Pad 1: DEP received Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with diesel-based drilling mud in Bridgewater Twp., Susquehanna County. (PA Bulletin, page 7965)

-- Callon (Marcellus) LLC - Yarasavage Well Pad: DEP received Final Report on remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with frac flowback fluid when the driller lost control of a natural gas well in Washington Twp., Wyoming County. (PA Bulletin, page 7965)


Residual Waste Permits

-- SWN Production Company LLC - Freitage Water Transfer Facility: DEP invites comments on application for determination of applicability for a WMGR123 Residual Waste process facility for oil and gas liquid waste in Jackson Twp., Susquehanna County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7949)


Air Quality Permits

-- Hydro Recovery LP - Oil & Gas Wastewater Treatment Facility: DEP issued State-Only Air Quality Permit for the facility in Hanover Twp., Washington County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7969)

-- Texas Eastern Transmission - Bechtelsville Compressor Station: DEP issued Air Quality Permit for two new turbines at the facility in Washington Twp., Berks County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7968)

 -- Texas Eastern Transmission - Perulack Compressor Station: DEP issued Air Quality Permit for two new turbines at the facility in Lack Twp., Juniata County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7968)


NPDES Water Quality Permits

-- Energy Transfer Marketing & Terminals LP - Marcus Hook Terminal: DEP invites comments on proposed renewal of NPDES Water Quality Permit covering industrial waste impacting Delaware River and Middle Creek in Marcus Hook Borough, Delaware County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7941)


Chapter 105 Encroachment Permits

-- EQT ARO LLC - Well Pad & Pipeline: DEP invites comments on proposed Chapter 105 permit to construct a shale gas drilling well pad and associated natural gas pipelines in McNett Twp., Lycoming County (correction to previous notice)  (PA Bulletin, page 7957)

--Chesapeake Appalachia, LLC - LRJ SUS Well Pad: After-the-fact Chapter 105 permit to construct well pad, work space in  Rush Twp., Susquehanna County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7971)


Erosion & Sedimentation Permits

-- Appalachia Midstream Services: DEP issued Chapter 102 permit for activities impacting Millstone Creek in Monroe and Overton Townships, Bradford County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7972)

-- XPR Resources LLC: DEP issued Chapter 102 permit for activities impacting McGee Run in Derry Twp., Westmoreland County. (PA Bulletin, page 7973)

-- CNX Gas Company, LLC: DEP issued Chapter 102 permit for activities impacting Templeton Fork in West Finley Twp., Washington County. (PA Bulletin, page 7973)

-- Year To Date - Permits: DEP issued 294 conventional and 729 unconventional

-- Year To Date - Wells Drilled: 212 conventional and 551 unconventional
