Schuylkill Action Network Hosts March 25 Online Showcase Of Watershed Improvement Projects In The Schuylkill Highlands

The
Schuylkill Action Network hosts an online showcase of watershed improvement projects in the Schuylkill Highlands on March 25 starting at 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Through the Delaware River Watershed Initiative, a coalition of local conservation organizations have worked together for nearly 10 years to protect land, create education and outreach programs, monitor water quality, install green stormwater infrastructure, and much more!

The showcase will highlight projects such as--

-- Audubon Mid-Atlantic's local backyard habitat “Plants for Birds” Program

-- The 18 Years, LLC land protection and restoration project in West Vincent Township

-- The Ellis Woods Park landscape planning and plantings

With stories and perspectives from local community leaders, including:

-- Kevin Kuhn, Charlestown Township Supervisor (Chester County)

-- Karen Nocella, East Coventry Township Supervisor (Chester County)

Does your community need funding to support similar projects? If you’re an elected municipal official, an appointed commission or committee member, or a municipal staff member, you won’t want to miss this opportunity!
