Dept. Of Health Reported 4 Additional Deaths Due To COVID-19; 800 New Cases

On July 26, the Department of Health reported 4 additional deaths as a result of COVID-19 bringing the total number of deaths to 7,118.
As of 12:00 a.m. July 26, there were 800 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 107,425 in all 67 counties.

County-specific information and a statewide map are available.

There are 1,028,776 patients who have tested negative to date.  Approximately 7,939 of Pennsylvania’s total positive cases are in health care workers.

Of the patients who have tested positive to date the age breakdown is as follows:

-- 1 percent are ages 0-4;

-- More than 1 percent are ages 5-12;

-- 3 percent are ages 13-18;

-- Nearly 9 percent are ages 19-24;

-- More than 37 percent are ages 25-49;

-- 23 percent are ages 50-64; and

-- Nearly 25 percent are ages 65 or older.

Most of the patients hospitalized are aged 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older. There have been no pediatric deaths to date. More data is available here.

In nursing and personal care homes, there are 19,134 resident cases of COVID-19, and  3,818 cases among employees, for a total of 22,952 at 829 distinct facilities in 61 counties.
