Dept. Of Health Reported 13 Additional Deaths Due To COVID-19; 1,054 New Cases

On July 25, the Department of Health reported 13 additional deaths as a result of COVID-19 bringing the total number of deaths to 7,114.
As of 12:00 a.m. July 25, there were 1,054 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 106,625 in all 67 counties.

County-specific information and a statewide map are available.

There are 1,016,795 patients who have tested negative to date.  Approximately 7,902 of Pennsylvania’s total positive cases are in health care workers.

Of the patients who have tested positive to date the age breakdown is as follows:

-- 1 percent are ages 0-4;

-- More Than 1 percent are ages 5-12;

-- 3 percent are ages 13-18;

-- 9 percent are ages 19-24;

-- More Than 37 percent are ages 25-49;

-- 23 percent are ages 50-64; and

-- 25 percent are ages 65 or older.

Most of the patients hospitalized are aged 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older. There have been no pediatric deaths to date. More data is available here.

In nursing and personal care homes, there are 19,066 resident cases of COVID-19, and  3,785 cases among employees, for a total of 22,851 at 826 distinct facilities in 61 counties.
