There are 1,059,776 patients who have tested negative to date. Approximately 8,045 of Pennsylvania’s total positive cases are in health care workers.
Of the patients who have tested positive to date the age breakdown is as follows:
-- 1 percent are ages 0-4;
-- 1 percent are ages 5-12;
-- 3 percent are ages 13-18;
-- 9 percent are ages 19-24;
-- 37 percent are ages 25-49;
-- 23 percent are ages 50-64; and
-- Nearly 25 percent are ages 65 or older.
Most of the patients hospitalized are aged 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older. There have been no pediatric deaths to date. More data is available here.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 19,225 resident cases of COVID-19, and 3,868 cases among employees, for a total of 23,093 at 835 distinct facilities in 61 counties.
