DEP Sets Virtual Hearing April 17 [If Needed] On Proposed Air Quality Infrastructure Plan Revisions

The Department of Environmental Protection has scheduled a virtual public hearing on April 17 at 10:00 a.m. [if needed] to accept comments on proposed revisions to the Air Quality Infrastructure State Implementation Plan.  (formal notice)
In person hearings on the proposal were scheduled for mid-April but have been canceled due to concerns about COVID-19.
The SIP revision describes basic elements designed to assure attainment and maintenance of the 2015 ozone NAAQS including: ambient air quality monitoring, emission inventories, enforcement of control measures, modeling, monitoring, nonattainment new source review, prevention of significant deterioration and stationary source monitoring.
Persons wishing to present testimony should contact Amanda Rodriguez, P.O. Box 8468, Harrisburg, PA 17105-8468, call 717-787-9702 or send email to: amarodrigu@pa.gov to reserve a time. Witnesses will be limited to 10 minutes and should provide written copies of their testimony by means of email.
If by 12 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2020, no person has expressed an interest in testifying at the hearing, the hearing will be canceled. 
If the hearing is canceled, the Department will provide public notice on the Bureau of Air Quality's webpage. Persons may also contact the Department to find out if the hearing is cancelled by contacting Amanda Rodriguez at amarodrigu@pa.gov or 717-787-9702.
