On Feb. 27 Help Celebrate The Launch Of The Erie 2030 District To Reduce Energy, Water Use By 50%

Join the Green Building Alliance, Erie County, City of Erie and 14 member property owners on February 27 to celebrate the formal launch of the Erie 2030 District.
The goal of the District is to achieve a region-wide 50 percent reduction in energy use, water use and transportation emissions by 2030.
The 2030 District provides Partners a roadmap and the support they need to own, manage, and develop high performance buildings by leveraging Community and Resource Partners, Green Building Alliance's members and stakeholders, market resources, and by creating new tools, partnerships, and opportunities to overcome current market barriers.
This type of collaborative action is not only a strategic undertaking to keep Erie competitive and innovative in the year 2030, but also represents a major investment in Erie’s future and reflects the collaborative nature of our region.
At the celebration, Guy McUmber, GBA’s Northwest PA Branch Director, will reveal the District’s first sampling of energy statistics and talk about Erie’s path forward toward the 2030 goals.
He will also announce a special addition to the 2030 District that will further solidify Erie’s commitment to its sustainability goals.
The celebration will be held at the Renaissance Centre, 1001 State Street in Erie from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
