The Northeast Recycling Council will hold its Spring Conference - Rebooting Recycling -- on April 20-21 in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
The Conference Agenda includes presenters paving the way for innovative thinking about recycling. Here are some of the speakers--
-- John Mascari, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Blueland cleaning products is the Keynote Speaker. John will talk about how and why he developed a business model based on making refillable eco-friendly household cleaners to reduce single-use plastics.
-- Caren McNamara, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Conscious Container will present about the rebirth of refillable glass beverage containers.
-- Cherish Changala Miller of Revolution Plastics will present about circularity through an innovative business model.
-- Jessica Shrout, Owner of Circle Three Branding and Kathy Boucher, President of Decker Creative Marketing will present about effective recycling messaging.
-- Stephen Lisauskas, Vice President of Government Affairs of WasteZero, Joe Connell, Executive Director and Pam Howland, Board of Directors of Build Reuse; and Kelley Dennings, Population Campaigner, Center for Biological Diversity will present about moving up the hierarchy.
-- Rachel Kenyon, Senior Vice President, Fibre Box Association and David Refkin, Affiliate Senior Consultant, Resource Recycling Systems (RRS) will talk about focusing recycling efforts on multi-family residences.
-- Sean Plasse, Program Manager, Northeast Region, Call2Recycle will talk about the newest methods for managing lithium battery safety.
-- And the Big-3 MRF owner/operator's will share their perspectives on end markets: -- Bob Cappadona, Vice President, Casella Resource Solutions; Peter Keller, Vice President of Recycling and Sustainability, Republic Services; and Susan Robinson, Senior Director of Sustainability & Policy, Waste Management.
