The PA Resources Council, Zero Waste Pennsylvania and the Green Building Alliance will host the True Zero Waste Symposium for businesses or institutions on February 21 in Pittsburgh from 8:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.
TRUE (Total Resource Use & Efficiency) Zero Waste Certification enables facilities to define, pursue and achieve their Zero Waste goals while cutting their carbon footprint, supporting public health and maximizing profits.
TRUE certification is offered through Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) a program for businesses to access performance in reducing waste and maximizing resource efficiency. GBCI continuing education credits will be available to attendees.
Symposium attendees will learn from Stephanie Barger about the TRUE process and her pioneering work in the world of Zero Waste.
Additional presentations will include case studies from early adopters of TRUE and other national leaders focused on how thoughtful waste management systems are protecting the environment and the bottom line.
Early registration offers end January 15.
