The PA Association of Environmental Educators have issued a call for presentation and workshop proposals for its 2018 Conference to be held on March 12-13 in State College. The deadline for proposals is December 17.
The theme of the Conference – Growing from Our Roots – explores how programs can include local lore and native cultures to increase people's attachment to the environment in their community.
Presentations and workshops should be interactive, engaging and fun, applying best practices in environmental education and interpretation.
Workshop proposals should include the following conference strands:
-- Our Roots: Words & Wisdom: Using lore, local history and storytelling to infuse your lessons and activities with life.
-- Our Strength: Tasks & Challenges: Guidance for gaining confidence to put on the many hats we wear for staff development and organizational management.
-- Our Reach: Community & Colleagues: Strengthening the connections with the environmental education community of today and tomorrow.
