Interstate Chesapeake Bay Commission Meets Jan. 5-6 In Annapolis

The interstate Chesapeake Bay Commission will hold its next meeting in Annapolis on January 5-6 to hear a presentation on the Bay and climate change, positive signs of change in Bay water quality and the importance of continuing federal involvement in the Chesapeake Bay cleanup.
Also on the agenda are presentations on the ecological effects of drugs and endocrine disruptors in rivers and streams and an overview of new land use and land cover data tools now available in the Bay watershed.

Pennsylvania’s representatives on the Commission are Rep. Garth Everett (R-Lycoming), Vice-Chair, Sen. Richard Alloway (R-Franklin), Sen. Gene Yaw (R-Lycoming), Rep. Keith Gillespie (R-York), Rep. Mike Sturla (D-Lancaster) and Acting DEP Secretary Patrick McDonnell.
