Dr. Ward is the author of Cradle of Conservation: An Environmental History of Pennsylvania, an overview of the history of the state through the eras of timber, coal, oil and natural gas production and their impacts on the landscape, communities and people.
The Cradle of Conservation deepens our understanding of how Pennsylvanians have conserved and consumed.
