Urban areas face distinct water quality challenges, particularly during heavy rainfall, and innovative solutions are needed to address them. This session highlights constructed floodplain wetlands as an effective Best Management Practice (BMP) for improving stormwater quality and restoring natural hydrologic functions.
Participants will gain insights from a central Pennsylvania case study that demonstrates the design, performance, and benefits of a constructed floodplain wetland, including its positive impact on stream health.
