The PA Horticultural Society Monday announced the award of $203,174 in TreeVitalize Watershed Grants to 38 separate projects to plant over 7,000 trees and shrubs. The grant funds leverage an additional $146,886 in match provided by the grantee organizations.
The program is managed by PHS in the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region, and funded by the Department of Environmental Protection’s Growing Greener program and Aqua Pennsylvania.

TreeVitalize Watersheds is an important component of Plant One Million, a multi-state partnership led by PHS to increase tree planting and stewardship efforts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
