The Key To Long Term Urban Tree Survival Workshop May 18-19 In Allentown

Community health and livability is codependent on the service and care of its forest canopy. Research provides a wealth of information on the social, health, and ecological benefits that trees provide.
What's Underground? The Key to Long Term Urban Tree Survival is a two-day conference presenting information essential to the care of community trees and providing an opportunity to share ideas with foresters, arborists, shade tree commissioners, and others.
Day 1 includes a variety of presentations on the care of community trees, followed by an evening social at the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum.
Day 2 takes us outside for field demonstrations of root excavation, charcoal making, biochar application, a municipal yard waste recycling program, and a portable sawmill.
Take advantage of early bird registration by May 4.
