The PA Resources Council Thursday announced it will now accept TVs at its remaining Hard to Recycle Collections Events as a result of a change in DEP policy to allow groups to charge fees for recycling those items.
"We've worked with legislators, regulators and recyclers to find this solution, but we all understand that this is an interim solution at best," said PRC Western Regional Director Justin Stockdale.
"We are eager to work with DEP moving forward to find a more permanent solution," he said. "In the meantime, the good news is that residents can once again drop off TVs at PRC's Hard-to-Recycle collection events. We encourage individuals to make their voices heard by contacting legislators to ask for a permanent, free and convenient solution to the issue of TV recycling in Pennsylvania."
