Registration Now Open For PA Groundwater Symposium May 6

In celebration of National Drinking Water Week, Penn State Extension and the Department of Environmental Protection along with numerous other sponsors invite you to attend the 2015 Pennsylvania Groundwater Symposium at the Ramada Inn Conference Center in State College, PA on May 6.
The Symposium theme, An Unconventional Look at PA Groundwater, will provide a forum for researchers, students, professionals and educators working in the groundwater field to exchange information and promote protection of groundwater resources throughout the state.
The day-long symposium will begin at 8:30 a.m. on May 6 with opening remarks by Acting DEP Secretary John Quigley. Morning and afternoon keynote speakers will address several important groundwater issues in Pennsylvania.
The symposium will also feature concurrent sessions with contributed presentations on groundwater and aquifer studies, water quality and contaminants, groundwater springs, and groundwater education. Registrants can also receive continuing education credits or professional development hours for attending.
A nominal registration fee of $30 for the symposium is made possible thanks to generous funding support from Penn State Extension, the Master Well Owner Network, the Department of Environmental Protection, the PA Ground Water Association and the Penn State Water Resources Research Center.
Discounted registration is also available for certified Penn State Master Well Owner volunteers. Registration will be limited to the first 250 registrants or May 4 - whichever comes first. There will be no walk-in registration on the day of the Symposium.

For more information and to register, visit the Pennsylvania Groundwater Symposium webpage.  Questions about the Symposium can be directed to Bryan Swistock by email to: brs@psu.edu or at 814-863-0194.
