-- Violations For Abandoning Conventional Wells: On September 14, 2026, DEP issued Next Level Energy LLC, a company owned by Diversified Energy, company-level violations for abandoning and not plugging one or more oil and gas wells.  Copies were not available online, but were listed on DEP’s Compliance Reporting Database


-- 56 Abandoned Conventional Wells Inspected For Federal Well Plugging Program


-- Underground Natural Gas Storage Facilities: This time of year DEP focuses on inspection of conventional wells used to fill gas storage areas used over winter to supply gas for heating. DEP inspected 81 wells serving Eastern Gas Transmission & Storage Ellisburg and Sharon gas storage reservoirs in Potter County over the last week.


-- DEP issued violations to these 11 shale gas companies for failing to submit monthly production and waste generation/disposal reports: Anegada Energy LLC, CNX Gas Co LLC, Frontier Natural Resources, Iron City Wells LLC, Isaacs Scott J. Jr., M4 Energy LLC, John E. McCool, Medina Res Dev Co LLC, Monona LLC, Nucomer Energy LLC, PPG Oper LLC
