Natural Lands Joins Art-Reach’s ACCESS Program To Let More People Enjoy Popular Paid Events

Delaware County-based Natural Lands is the latest organization to partner with fellow nonprofit Art-Reach to make its programming accessible to more people.  

Art-Reach’s ACCESS program is a public initiative that empowers individuals and families who come from a low-income household to engage with arts and culture in the Greater Philadelphia region at a rate they can afford.  

For the cost of $2 per person, individuals with an ACCESS Card can visit various arts and cultural locations including the Franklin Institute, Longwood Gardens, the Wilma Theater, the Please Touch Museum, and more. 

While Natural Lands’ nature preserves and Stoneleigh: a natural garden are open to everyone free of charge, this partnership will offer discounts to popular paid events offered by the conservation nonprofit. 

Thousands of ACCESS Cardholders engage with the program every month, and Cardholders can bring up to four people with their visits. ACCESS provides opportunities by removing the financial barrier for many in the area.  

“Creating opportunities for joy and discovery in the outdoors for all residents of our region is key to our mission,” said Natural Lands Vice President of Communication and Engagement Kelly Herrenkohl. “Partnering with the Art-Reach ACCESS program further improves the accessibility of our events and programs, and we are delighted to be a part of it.”  

Just a few examples of the Natural Lands programs included in the ACCESS Card program are-- 

-- Home and Garden Tours at Stoneleigh: a natural garden, Villanova, PA  

-- Music Without Walls outdoor concert series at Stroud Preserve in West Chester, PA, ChesLen Preserve in Coatesville, PA and Binky Lee Preserve in Chester Springs, PA. 

-- Guided nature walks and explorations at various preserves across the region.
