DEP Sets Virtual Hearings On Consol Harvey Mine, Enlow Fork Underground Coal Mine Expansions In Greene County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 13 PA Bulletin of hearings to be held on changes to the underground mining acreage and subsidence control plans for two Consol Mines In Greene County.  (
PA Bulletin, page 5006)

The hearing on the Enlow Fork Mine covers an expansion into Morris and Washington Townships, Greene County will be held September 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The present mine is located in Richhill Township.

The hearing on the Harvey Mine covers an expansion into Franklin, Morris and Center Townships, Greene County will be held September 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The present mine is located in Richhill Township.

Individuals who wish to participate and ask questions during the IPC must contact community relations coordinator Lauren Fraley at lfraley@pa.gov  or call (412-442-4203) a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the event to reserve a time to present testimony. 

Individuals who register for the event will receive an email containing the link and instructions on how to join the virtual IPC.
