The Philadelphia Energy Co-op Expands Services; Feb. 11 Webinar On Clean Energy


On February 9, the Philadelphia-based
The Energy Co-op, a pioneer in renewable energy and community sustainability, is expanding its capacity to serve Southeastern Pennsylvania's residents and businesses. 

 The nonprofit offers renewable electricity, renewable natural gas, and affordable home heating oil.  Read more here.

Recently, The Energy Co-op expanded its staff to support new programs to assist and educate members.

Noah Swistak is The Energy Co-op’s new Member Services Lead.  Noah has years of experience in membership engagement and recently helped lead institutional campus sustainability work at colleges and universities across North America at the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.

Eleanor Fulvio is The Energy Co-op's new Energy Programs Analyst.  Her previous work included ten years in nonprofit development and business administration. 

Hillary Bedeian recently joined The Energy Co-op’s as the Office Manager.  Prior to joining The Energy Co-op, Hillary worked in arts and sciences education, and in the software industry.

Upcoming Webinars

Despite limitations on in-person gatherings because of the pandemic, The Energy Co-op is expanding its community events with a series of webinars by members to share their expertise on diverse topics with other members.  

The series starts February 11 at 5:30 p.m. with a discussion on the Green New Deal led by Bob Groves, a graduate of The Energy Co-op's Member Ambassador program.

“Even before the pandemic, we were looking to expand our interaction with our members and the public.  With additional staff and through our virtual events, we’ll continue our work to accelerate society’s transition from fossil to renewable sources of energy,” said Ronald Fisher, Executive Director.
