The American Chestnut Foundation are now accepting applications for spring and summer interns.  Applications are due March 5.

Interns with a variety of skills are needed-- to operate tractors, mowers, and chainsaws (equipment use and maintenance); learn inoculation techniques (plant pathology), seedling care (greenhouse management and horticulture), and silvicultural techniques (forestry); and perform data collection, entry, and analysis (research).

Candidates must be motivated, dependable, organized, and observant. Applicants should be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Some experience with mowers/equipment is a plus but not required. Students from any major are encouraged to apply.

The work period will be from May 1st (flexible) through August, with the potential to continue working through fall semester.

Help restore the American chestnut while getting paid $12-$15 per hour!  Work will be 50/50 inside and outside.
