PA Forestry Assn. PA's Conservation Pioneers Video Now Available In Discovering PA's Forest Heritage Series


The
PA Forestry Association, in cooperation with the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art, is proud to bring you the second video in the Discovering PA’s Forest Heritage Series-- Pennsylvania Conservation Pioneers.

The video describes the lives and work of Pennsylvania Conservation Pioneers who are included on the marquee display at the Forest Heritage Discovery Center in Caledonia State Park

These include Dr. Joseph Rothrock, the father of forestry in Pennsylvania; Mira Lloyd Dock, a leader in city beautification and first woman member of the Forestry Commission; Gifford Pinchot, the first head of the US Forest service and twice governor of Pennsylvania; and Maurice Goddard, a pioneering forestry educator and leader in creating many of Pennsylvania’s state parks.
