District 2020 Strategic Plan
The Pike County Conservation District has completed it’s 2020 Strategic plan! This plan will provide guidance to where District programming and services will take us the next five years.
The development of the plan began in the fall of 2019 with a public survey distributed widely to the community to see what their natural resource concerns were and how the District could help address those concerns.
A number of concerns were identified including, surface water quality and quantity, safe drinking water, soil health, and a lack of understanding of the personal role in land use protection.
The Board and staff in working with partners have developed a list of goals and objectives to address these concerns and others, outlined in our Strategic Plan.
Board Chairman Scott Savini stated, “The Plan is a comprehensive road map guiding the District Board and staff into the next five years. The Board, staff and partners have done an excellent job in drafting this document and although ambitious, the District has always risen to the occasion. We also want to thank the County Commissioners for their support of District programming.”
But we can’t do it alone! There are many ways in which as community members you can do your part in protecting the resources of Pike County.
If you are interested in finding out more about our organization, the programs and services that we offer please contact the District staff by visiting or calling our office, visiting our website, or follow us on our many social media platforms.
