House Democratic Policy Committee Holds April 22 Montgomery County Hearing On Future Of Nuclear Energy

The House Democratic Policy Committee is scheduled to hold a hearing on the future of nuclear energy and its impact on the Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards April 22 in Montgomery County.  
The hearing is being hosted by Rep. Stephen McCarter (D-Montgomery) who serves as Chair of the Pennsylvania Climate Caucus.
Expected to provide comments are--
-- Steve Aaron, member, Nuclear Powers Pennsylvania
-- Chad Trainer, Legislative Director, Pennsylvania AFL-CIO
-- Asim Haque, Executive Director of Strategic Policy & External Affairs, PJM
-- Mark Szybist, Senior Attorney of Climate & Clean Energy Program, The National Resources Defense Council
-- Rob Altenburg, Director, PennFuture Energy Center
-- Mandy Warner, Senior Policy Manager of Programs, Environmental Defense Fund
-- Tom Schuster, Senior Campaign Representative, Sierra Club-PA
The hearing will be held at the Springfield Township Building, 1510 Paper Mill Road in Wyndmoor starting at 2:00 p.m.
