ORSANCO Inviting Comments On Proposed Ohio River Water Pollution Control Standard Changes; April 1 Pittsburgh Hearing

ORSANCO sets Pollution Control Standards for industrial and municipal wastewater discharges to the Ohio River, and tracks certain dischargers whose effluent can seriously impact water quality.
The standards designate specific uses for the Ohio River, and establish guidelines to ensure that the river is capable of supporting these uses.  To keep pace with current issues, ORSANCO strives to review the standards at least every three years.
ORSANCO has scheduled three public hearings on the proposed changes, with the first being in Pittsburgh on April 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.at the DoubleTree By Hilton Pittsburgh, 500 Mansfield Avenue.
The other 2 hearings are in Evansville April 4 and Cincinnati on April 8.
