The Department of Environmental Protection is currently recruiting to fill five vacancies for 3 Air Quality Engineering Specialist positions located in the Northwest Regional Office in Meadville (Crawford County) and 2 positions in Harrisburg (Dauphin County).

-- Air Quality Engineering Specialist - Test Announcement 2015-143: This is professional environmental engineering work in the field of air quality. Duties include protecting the environment, public health, and safety by performing a variety of journey-level air quality engineering work assignments, such as conducting field studies and surveys including stack testing, ambient air monitoring, risk assessment, and emissions monitoring, and inspecting the operation and maintenance of facilities and recommending action on permit applications. Work is performed in a regional air quality program or in the central office in Harrisburg.
