PennAG Industries and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation-PA have partnered on a “Today’s Agriculture” exhibit at the 2014 Farm Show illustrating modern animal raising techniques and steps taken by farmers to control pollution runoff from their operations, in particular forested stream buffers.
The exhibit not only features live animals and the way crops are planted and harvested, but also includes a real, flowing stream stocked with fish used to show how stream buffers and cover crops work to reduce erosion, sedimentation and nutrient runoff.
