On April 11th, an incredible 2,052 volunteers came together with a shared purpose: to protect and restore the health of local streams and surrounding landscapes.
In just three hours, volunteers removed an astonishing amount of litter from across the watershed, including 1,512 bags of trash, 180 tires, and 10,000 pounds of scrap metal.
The scale of this effort highlights not only the ongoing challenge of litter in our waterways, but also the power of collective action to make a meaningful difference.
Participants of all ages spread out across 180 regional sites, from parks and trails to stream banks and wooded areas.
Their efforts helped improve water quality, protect wildlife habitat, and enhance the natural beauty of the region for all who live, work, and recreate there.
