DEP Invites Comments On Water Encroachment Permit For Mid-Atlantic Interstate Transmission, LLC Project To Rebuild Power Lines To Three Mile Island Nuclear Data Center Power Plant In Dauphin County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the April 18 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a Chapter 105 encroachment permit for a Mid-Atlantic Interstate Transmission, LLC project to rebuild 500 kV transmission lines crossing the Susquehanna River to connect to the substation at the Three Mile Island Nuclear Data Center Power Plant in Londonderry Township, Dauphin County.  (

The project will place fill in 0.02 acres of wetland, but no mitigation will be required due to the de minimus area of the fill.

DEP will accept comments on this application until May 18-- 30 days from this notice.

No hearing has been scheduled, but one can be requested.
