PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices, Opportunities To Comment - December 13

The following notices were published in the December 13 PA Bulletin related to oil and gas industry facilities.  Many of the notices offer the opportunity for public comments.

-- DEP published notices in the December 13 PA Bulletin inviting comments on three water quality approvals and permits for the Eastern Gas Transmission and Storage, Inc. Appalachian Reliability Pipeline Project in Armstrong, Greene and Westmoreland counties.  (PA Bulletin, page 8437 - 8439)

The Reliability Project includes the--

-- TL-636 Natural Gas Transmission Line, Murraysville Borough, Westmoreland County;

-- JB Tonkin Compressor Station, Murraysville Borough, Westmoreland County;

-- Two existing contractor yards, Salem Twp., Westmoreland County;

-- Delmont Pipeline Metering & Regulating Facility, Salem Twp., Westmoreland County;

-- Crayne Compressor Station, Franklin & Morgan Twp., Greene County; and

-- Roaring Run Pipeline Metering & Regulating Facility, Kiskiminetas Twp., Armstrong County.

The approvals include a Section 401 Water Quality Certification, Chapter 105 Encroachments and Chapter 102 Erosion and Sedimentation Permit.

DEP’s Regional Permit Coordination Office is accepting comments on these permits until January 12-- 30 days after the notices. Read more here.

-- The Public Utility Commission published notice in the December 13 PA Bulletin of final changes to Low-Income Usage Reduction Program (LUIUP) regulations for natural gas and electric utilities, which helps tens of thousands of income-qualified residents across the Commonwealth reduce their energy usage and bills.  Read more here.
