Site construction includes grading for staging and laydown areas, relocation of an existing water treatment plant, and power generation units on the site of the former Homer City coal-fired power plant.
The project is expected to impact a total of 2.459 acres of 12 wetland areas and 162.35 feet of an unnamed tributary of Cherry Run.
The applicant proposes mitigation for project impacts through purchase of mitigation bank credits at the Paden Creek Mitigation Bank for Federally jurisdictional wetland impacts.
Mitigation for the remaining permanent wetland impacts are proposed to be offset through the PIESCES in-lieu fee program. No mitigation is proposed for the waived stream impacts.
No hearing has been scheduled on this application, although one may be requested.
