Join Audubon and the Buffalo Creek Coalition to learn about the state of the watershed, habitat restoration, monitoring, and education efforts and special guests from the Lingering Hemlock Project.
The Lingering Hemlock Project, a subset of the coalition making up The Nature Conservancy’s “Tree Species in Peril,” focuses on locating and selectively breeding eastern and Carolina hemlock trees demonstrating evidence of resistance to hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA).
They will detail relevant, ongoing strategies for furthering HWA-resistant hemlock breeding in Pennsylvania.
