Tom Donohue, DEP Oil & Gas Program, said, “They didn't really give us a reason for it, but there was a lot of public opposition for this well, and it's been withdrawn and there's no immediate plans to resubmit this one.”
Comments submitted by Lauren Barr, Save Our Streams PA, on the proposed Roulette Oil and Gas LLC injection well showed the principals involved in the company have been involved in abandoning eight other injection wells in Clara and Hebron Townships in Potter County.
The comments were made at a July 25 hearing held by the Department of Environmental Protection to gather comments on the injection well application.
On September 19, 2023, DEP inspected the Contant 1 conventional well operated by Roulette Oil and Gas LLC in Harrison Township, Potter County and issued notices of violation for failure to plug the well upon abandoning it. Read more here.
