PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices/Opportunities To Comment - July 29

The following DEP notices were published in the
July 29 PA Bulletin related to oil and gas industry facilities.  Many of the notices offer the opportunity for public comments.

Land Recycling/Brownfield Cleanups

-- Chesapeake Appalachia, LLC - DPH Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with ethylene glycol in Windham Twp., Wyoming County.   (PA Bulletin, page 4030)

-- Chesapeake Appalachia, LLC - LRJ Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with production wastewater in Rush Twp., Susquehanna County. (PA Bulletin, page 4030)

-- Chesapeake Appalachia, LLC - Susan Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP issued a technical deficiency letter for a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with production wastewater in Auburn Twp., Susquehanna County.  (PA Bulletin, page 4030)


Waste Permits

-- Highland Field Services, LLC - Shawmut Production Water Facility: DEP  approved coverage under WMGR163 General Permit to increase capacity of wastewater storage tanks for the facility located in Sergeant Twp., McKean County.  (PA Bulletin, page 4030)


Air Quality Permits

-- Energy Developments Honey Brook, LLC - Landfill Gas Project: DEP invites comments on proposed Title V Air Quality Permit for the project located in Caernarvon Twp., Lancaster County.  (PA Bulletin, page 4008)

-- Regency Marcellus Gas Pipeline Gathering, LLC - Compressor Station: DEP reissued General Permit-5 for natural gas compressor station in Forkston Twp., Wyoming County.  (PA Bulletin, page 4032)

-- Armstrong Power, LLC - South Bend Natural Gas Power Plant: DEP approved Air Quality Plan Approval for source testing for the facility in South Bend Twp., Armstrong County.  (PA Bulletin, page 4033)

-- Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Co. - Compressor Station: DEP issued Title V Air Quality permit renewal in Peach Bottom Twp., York County.   (PA Bulletin, page 4033)


Chapter 105 Encroachment Permits

-- Pine Run Midstream, LLC - Pipeline Project: DEP invites comments on Chapter 105 application involving 3.2 miles of 12-inch natural gas pipeline located in North Buffalo and West Franklin Townships, Armstrong County.  (PA Bulletin, page 4015)

-- Olympus Energy/Hyperion Midstream LLC - Pipeline Project: DEP invites comments on Chapter 105 application involving proposed pipeline located in Salem and Washington Townships, Murrysville Borough, Westmoreland County. (PA Bulletin, page 4016)

-- Repsol Oil & Gas USA - Water Pipeline: DEP issued Chapter 105 permit for pipeline project in Ward and Hamilton Township, Tioga County. (PA Bulletin, page 4036)


Erosion & Sedimentation Permits

-- Seneca Resources Co. LLC: DEP issued a Chapter 102 permit for a project impacting North Run and Elkhorn Creek in Middlebury Twp., Tioga County.  (PA Bulletin, page 4038)

-- Laurel Mtn. Midstream OPR LLC: DEP issued a Chapter 102 permit for a project impacting Dunlap Creek in Moon Twp., Fayette County.  (PA Bulletin, page 4038)

-- Year To Date - Permits: DEP issued 95 conventional and 431 unconventional

-- Year To Date - Wells Drilled: 100 conventional and 225 unconventional
