DCNR's Conservation & Natural Resources Advisory Council Meets Jan. 25 On Private Forest Land Stewardship, Other Issues

DCNR's
Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council is scheduled to hold a meeting on January 25 on private forest land stewardship and other issues.

Cindy Adams Dunn, recently named by Gov. Shapiro to remain as DCNR Secretary, will discuss recent accomplishments and provide a look ahead for DCNR’s priorities and initiatives.

Rachel Reyna and John Schwartzer from DCNR’s Bureau of Forestry will discuss the outreach and stewardship efforts by the bureau’s service foresters to private forest landowners. 

Council will also hear from DCNR’s NextGen Council member Kat Platt and Acting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Coordinator Jean Lynch on the Council’s efforts to provide new perspectives into DCNR’s work. The two councils will discuss ways in which they can work together through shared goals and projects.

Public Comments

There will be two opportunities for public comment at the meeting.  If you are interested in presenting comments, please advise by email to kharris@bridgeconsultingcorp.com no later than 5 p.m. on January 24.  

You can provide comments at the beginning of the meeting or at the end of the meeting.  

You may also provide comments or questions after the meeting by emailing the same address or through the Council's website.

The meeting will be held in person at the Rachel Carson State Office Building, Room 105, 400 Market Street, Harrisburg from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.  There is also an option to join the meeting virtually via Microsoft Teams by Clicking Here to register.
