Manada Conservancy Hosts Nov. 10 Virtual Program By DCNR Wildlife Biologist On The Allegheny Woodrat


The Dauphin County-based
Manada Conservancy will host a November 10 virtual program on the Allegheny Woodrat by DCNR Forestry Wildlife biologist Aura Stauffer starting at 7:00 p.m.

The presentation will discuss the natural history of the woodrat as well as efforts to study and conserve this threatened native woodland packrat.

Aura Stauffer works with non-game species management for DCNR's Bureau of Forestry and has been with the Bureau since 2002. 

She has worked as a consultant for the EPA and a local engineering firm, as a marine biology instructor for the Audubon Society, and as an inventory coordinator for The Nature Conservancy.
