The Loyalhanna Watershed Association will host a March 18 Climate Change And The Laurel Highlands Program at the Association’s Watershed Farm, 6 Old Lincoln Highway West in Ligonier in Westmoreland County from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The Loyalhanna Watershed Association will host a March 18 Climate Change And The Laurel Highlands Program at the Association’s Watershed Farm, 6 Old Lincoln Highway West in Ligonier in Westmoreland County from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The program will explore climate impacts and the Laurel Highlands and will include presentations covering mitigation and adaptation strategies of state agencies including an overview of the DCNR Climate Change Action Plan, state energy policy efforts and work that is underway and planned to adapt to a changing climate.
Members of the community who want a better understanding of climate change on the Landscape should attend this program, including: Residents; Elected Officials; Emergency Response Personnel; Municipal Leaders; Outdoor Recreation Enthusiasts; Land Managers; and Tourism, Conservation, Business & Nonprofit Communities.
The program is being put on in partnership with the Laurel Highlands Conservation Landscape and the PA Environmental Council.
