PA Environmental Council Honors 2 With Curtin Winsor Awards, 1 Project With Special Place Award

On June 13, the PA Environmental Council held its 49th Environmental Partnership dinner to recognize 2 individuals with the Curtin Winsor Award and a project with a Special Places Award.
The Curtin Winsor Award winners are--
-- Molly Morrison has been described as “a force of and for nature.” Morrison has built a remarkable conservation legacy throughout her entire career, spanning the launch of Chester County’s ground-breaking open space preservation program through her profound impact at Natural Lands -— the region’s largest conservation organization.
-- The Honorable Kate M. Harper is a leader for the environment. The prime architect of the Growing Greener II initiative and vocal proponent of preserving and enhancing the state’s Growing Greener program, Harper is rooted in community activism with service in local government, and as State Representative for the 61st Legislative District.
The Special Place Award winner is--
-- Cira Green is Philadelphia’s first elevated public park and blue-green roof. This collaboration of Brandywine Realty Trust, Erdy McHenry Architecture, and RoofMeadow provides Philadelphia with a stunning elevated oasis which engages the public, aggressively manages stormwater, and delivers a model for evolutionary innovative design.
