The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will begin accepting applications January 22 for local land conservation, recreation, riparian buffer project grants under the Community Conservation Partnership Grant Program.
The deadline for applications is April 10.
Community Conservation Partnership grants can fund-- Planning, acquisition, rehabilitation and development of public parks, greenways, critical habitat areas and open space; Recreation areas; Motorized and non-motorized trails; ATV and Snowmobile, River conservation and access; and Conservation of open space.
The Riparian Forest Buffer Program provides financial assistance to identify locations in need of riparian forest buffers, and to design, establish, monitor, and provide short-term maintenance for those buffers.
