The Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee will hold an Environmental Issues Forum on October 16 featuring a presentation from representatives of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources who will discuss their new initiative, “Penn’s Parks for All—Planning for the State Parks of Tomorrow.”
The department is updating their state park master plan for the first time in 25 years, incorporating a more modern approach to park management. Presenters will discuss their efforts in depth, including a new public survey launched this summer.
The Forum will be held in Room 8E-A East Wing starting at Noon.
Sen. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Chair of the Joint Conservation Committee.
