Prepare your shopping lists! The campaign is on to raise awareness of the 100 participating small businesses in the Pittsburgh Region that have earned “Sustainable” designation through Sustainable Pittsburgh’s formal sustainability performance program for small businesses.
Stop and shop at any of these participating stores now through July 15. Snap a photo, post it on social media, and you could be eligible to win prizes of up to $950 in value!
Participating small businesses are located in Pittsburgh, Ambridge, New Brighton, Charleroi, Carnegie, Millvale, Swissvale, Munhall, Verona, Braddock, Homestead, Mt. Lebanon and many more towns and neighborhoods. Find the closest ones to you!
Need some ideas? Toys, flowers, clothing, books, salons, brewpubs, coffee – even a dog spa and daycare are options for shopping. Consider surprising a loved one with a gift, go shopping with a friend from out of town, or pick up that last minute birthday present from a local business!
The ShopSustainableSmallBiz.org website features a Google map that enables you to search by type of store or you can view an alphabetical listing of stores by location.
Be sure to visit these Sustainable Small Businesses during store hours now through Saturday, July 15 to enter to win prizes donated by several of the participating shops.
