The House Democratic Policy Committee is scheduled to hold a public hearing on a possible severance tax on natural gas production on May 22 in Harrisburg. The hearing will feature comments by—

-- Gladys Brown, Chairman Public Utility Commission;
-- Matthew Knittel, Director Independent Fiscal Office;
-- Jim Welty, Vice President of the Marcellus Shale Coalition;
-- Todd Stager, Pennoni;
-- Kevin Sunday, PA Chamber of Business & Industry;
-- Rob Altenburg, PennFuture Energy Center; and
-- Thomas Au, PA Chapter Sierra Club.
