The Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee is scheduled to hold confirmation hearings for Acting DCNR Secretary Cindy Dunn May 13 and for Acting DEP Secretary John Quigley on June 2.
The May 13 hearing will be held in Room 461 at 9:00 a.m. The June 2 hearing in Hearing Room 1 North Office Building starting at 9:30 a.m.
June 9 is the deadline for the Senate to vote on both nominations, however, Gov. Wolf can always recall and resubmit the nominations if the Senate needs more time. The Senate has 25 legislative (not calendar) days to consider nominations.
Sen. Gene Yaw (R-Lycoming) serves as Majority Chair and Sen. John Yudichak (D-Luzerne) serves as Minority Chair.
