The Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation is scheduled to hold a hearing February 5 on Pennsylvania’s Nutrient Credit Trading Program.
The hearing is intended to provide a general overview of the Nutrient Credit Trading Program and how it is affecting the sewage treatment industry, local governments and agricultural non-point source stakeholders.
Representatives of the Department of Environmental Protection, PA Infrastructure Investment Authority, the interstate Chesapeake Bay Commission and the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee are expected to provide comments and offer recommendations on how to improve the program.
The hearing will be held in Room 8-EA East Wing of the Capitol in Harrisburg starting at 9:00.
Sen. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Chair of the Joint Conservation Committee.
