Sweet Arrow Lake Park in Schuylkill County near Pine Grove will host a Fall Bird Walk on September 17 conducted by the Schuylkill County Conservation District.
This is a great opportunity to explore this wonderful county park.
Join local naturalist Denise “Nightowl” Donmoyer from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. to locate and identify resident and migratory birds that inhabit the park. Participants will identify birds by both sight and sound and may even see a bald eagle.
Meet in the Waterfall parking lot for this program that is free and open to beginning and experienced birdwatchers. The walk will be canceled in the event of rain.

Sweet Arrow Lake Park covers about 183 acres, comprised of about 60 acres of water.The park is open to the public to enjoy the natural beauty, hiking, family fishing, boat rentals (only through Labor Day), disc golf, picnic pavilions and more.
The Schuylkill County Conservation District hosts a variety of environmental education programs for students and visitors at the park to promote environmental awareness, appreciation of nature and citizen action.
