The PA Chamber of Business & Industry will hold its Fall Energy and Environmental Compliance Conference October 6 in Canonsburg, Washington County from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn/Southpointe, 1000 Corporate Drive.
Chamber is presenting top environmental experts and leading consultants to cover the most recent changes in environmental laws from both the EPA and DEP. They bring the latest advice and practical information to help you develop and execute your company's environmental plan more efficiently and effectively.
Topics to be covered include--
-- RACT II-- the final rulemaking was published in April by DEP. We will describe how to implement the most cost-effective compliance options to meet the Jan. 1 deadline for all affected sources.
-- Industrial Stormwater-- always a challenge because of the increasing responsibility for managing the water coming off your property. The session will cover the most significant of DEP's proposed changes to the industrial stormwater general permit with compliance recommendations.
-- Risk Management Plans-- EPA's Risk Management Plan Rule of the Clean Air Act amendments place larger requirements on companies and concerns of increased liability. The session will review the requirements, information, prevention and emergency response programs and the proposed changes.
-- Residual Waste-- while most other states define waste as either municipal or hazardous, Pennsylvania also has a third category—residual waste, creating confusion and challenges for many companies. The session will review the definitions, the Residual Waste Reports and reporting exemptions — and discuss the new guideline requirements for hazardous waste generators.
This program has been approved for PE, CLE, ABIH and CSP Continuing Education Credits.
