DEP’s Citizens Advisory Council meeting on May 20 will feature a presentation from Raina Rippel, Director, Southwest PA Environmental Health Project, on the need for a health registry to capture the health impacts associated with natural gas development.
Joi Spraggins, a Council Member, will make a presentation on the need for diversity in the workforce involved in environmental programs.
Council’s Act 54 Report Review Committee will hold a discussion about possible Council comments on the report.
The Council will also hear an update on agency activities from Acting DEP Secretary John Quigley.
DEP also submitted in regular monthly report of activities to the Council.
The meeting will be held in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg starting at 11:00, not 10:00. (formal notice)
The next meeting of the Council will be on June 16.
